The Goodwood Festival of Speed is always a key date on any petrol head's calendar and the 2018 event was no different. Some amazing machinery was on display over the weekend, but which F1 cars made an appearance? Here we take a look at a selection.

Valtteri Bottas got his hands on the Mercedes W196, driven by Juan Manuel Fangio and Stirling Moss in 1954 and 1955. It won nine of the 12 races it entered and the drivers' title in each year.

More modern title-winning machinery was on display thanks to Red Bull, who gave the RB8 a spin with Patrick Freisacher at the wheel. Sebastian Vettel drove this car to glory in 2012.

Another double championship winning machine here, the Tyrrell 003, which propelled Jackie Stewart to his 1971 title with eight wins in the 16-race season.

Jenson Button got his hands on the Honda RA301 driven by John Surtees - its best result was second place at the 1968 French Grand Prix.

What. A. Beast! The Williams Fw26 screamed around Goodwood with Karun Chandhok at the controls. Juan Pablo Montoya made F1 history in this car at Monza in 2004 when he completed a lap with a higher average speed than any car has managed before or since - 162.950 mph (262.242 kmh)!

Now one of the most successful machines in the history of F1 - the Ferrari 312T. Niki Lauda (1975, 1977) and Jody Scheckter (1979) were both drivers' champion in this car, while the Scuderia won four constructors' crowns with it.

The Lotus 79. Can you name a better livery in the history of F1?

The Lotus E20, rebadged here as a Renault, helped Kimi Raikkonen to an Abu Dhabi GP victory in 2012. It's 'Incredibles' livery was the biggest head-turner at Goodwood, though!
