Rosberg plays down future in Formula E
Nico Rosberg will not be returning to motorsport as a driver or team principal, despite links to the new Mercedes Formula E team after his appearance at the electric series' Berlin ePrix this weekend. Rosberg drove the Gen2 FE car through the streets of Berlin in a promotional appearance.
Mercedes are slated to arrive in Formula E in 2019 and last week confirmed that elements of their four-time champion Formula 1 team will also play a role in the FE entry.

Rosberg raced in 206 grands prix, winning 23 of them, before retiring just five days after he was crowned world drivers' champion in 2016.
Rosberg has remained a presence at several grands prix, and formed part of Robert Kubica's management until earlier this year, but he remains happy with retired life
"First of all, I stopped F1 - among many reasons - because of the demand it has on time," Rosberg told Autosport.

"And it's just such a huge commitment, and the role of a team principal, like the way Toto [Wolff] does it or the way you would have to do it, again it would go back to being such a life commitment.
"Because all the other guys are committing their lives to it, so to do well you need to do the same and can't just do it as a part-time job. Now, at the moment, I would not see myself in any such role.
"This new freedom which I have in my life - which I value a lot - freedom over my time, has really been a powerful step for me, so I don't see myself going away from that any time soon. But you never know."
