Perez buoyed by 'memory of a lifetime' ahead of hero's return
Sergio Perez has described a demonstration run in Guadalajara as a "memory that will live with me forever".
The Red Bull driver took to the streets of his hometown in a special showrun ahead of this weekend's Mexico City Grand Prix, just days after clinching the constructors' title in Austin.
The home hero, who clinched a podium at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez last season, could become just the fourth driver to take victory at their native race in the turbo-hybrid era and has been in fine form since taking victory at the Singapore Grand Prix.
Perez followed up his triumph by finishing second in Japan before fighting back from a grid penalty at COTA to finish fourth.

"To come home after winning the constructors' title on Sunday makes this week feel bigger and more exciting than ever," said Perez.
"Things in our sport happen so fast, as soon as Sunday was over, we were already focussing on trying to win this weekend."
Addressing the Guadalajara run, Perez added: "But it has already been such a special week for me taking the Red Bull Showrun to my hometown, it’s a memory that will live with me forever.
"I don’t want to stop there with creating moments this week though, my aim is to win my home grand prix and I know I have the car and the team to do it.
"It has been an incredible season for the whole team and, I will give one hundred per cent to win for these fans in Mexico."
