Belgian Grand Prix will be 'different' for CONFIDENT Ricciardo

Daniel Ricciardo has admitted that the Belgian Grand Prix will be 'different' compared to his return in Hungary last weekend, insisting that he has taken 'confidence' from his P13 finish.

Despite getting caught up in a turn one incident after lights out, Ricciardo recovered well to finish in 13th at the Hungaroring in his first drive since replacing Nyck de Vries at Red Bull's sister team.

The Australian is now looking to build on his first outing, with a possible points finish no doubt in the back of his mind at a track notorious for its overtaking opportunities.

And heading into Spa, Ricciardo has revealed that the weather could well play a vital factor for his chances on track.

Ricciardo: It's going to be different this weekend

"I think I'm taking the same approach this weekend," he said. "It's only been a few days. A week ago today, I hadn't even driven the [AlphaTauri] car.

"I'm approaching it [the Belgian GP] the same way, but with a little more knowledge now.

"It's going to be different this weekend, it looks wet. New challenges and things like that.

"Obviously other than the turn one stuff, it was probably as smooth as a first weekend back could have gone. I was happy with the weekend, it gives us a little bit of confidence, but I would say the approach is unchanged."
