How Vettel inspired fans to follow in his footsteps at USGP
Sebastian Vettel's continued fight against environmental issues in F1 inspired a group of Aston Martin fans to follow his actions after the United States Grand Prix.
Vettel has been vocal with his recognition of the environmental impact the sport creates, pushing the boundaries and calling for action at various points across the last two years.
The German organised a litter pick through the Silverstone grandstands after the British Grand Prix with a group of Aston Martin fans following on from his actions with a clean up of their own at the Circuit of the Americas.
This came after a plea from Vettel during the driver parade asking fans not to litter after he saw rubbish strewn on his way into the circuit, adding that using the bins "made life a lot easier for people who have to clean up".
The Aston Martin driver had performed a brilliant comeback from the rear of the grid to secure his first point in five races to sit 12th in the drivers' standings with five races remaining.
At the British GP, Sebastian inspired fans with his post-race cleanup. Today, our fans came together to pick up litter and carry on this important message. We endeavour to leave a positive mark at every destination we travel to. 💚
