The 2020 season comes to a close
The sun sets this weekend on an intense Formula 1 season with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
F1 has persisted through a global pandemic, racing against the odds to complete a 17-race calendar that many thought would be impossible to begin let alone finish.
On Thursday evening it was confirmed Lewis Hamilton will in return to action for Mercedes with the champion having returned the required number of negative Covid-19 tests in both Bahrain and the UAE to first be allowed to travel and latterly enter the F1 paddock.
The news means Russell, who completed the Thursday press briefings in Mercedes team gear, will return to Williams while Jack Aitken misses out on a second F1 outing.
