F1 heads to Sao Paulo for the 2026 Brazilian Grand Prix this weekend, and we've got all of the latest on the weather forecast ahead of the action.

The race at Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace, or Interlagos as it's commonly referred to, marks Round 20 of the 2026 campaign, with the F1 drivers' championship having already been wrapped up by Kimi Antonelli in Mexico City last weekend.

Still, there is plenty to tune in for this time around, not least to see how Ferrari have handled that Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc drama and whether or not it affects how the two drivers go racing.

Apart from that, P2 in the championship is still up for grabs, with Max Verstappen, Hamilton, George Russell, and Charles Leclerc all in the hunt. Red Bull and McLaren are also locked in a close fight for P3 in the constructors' championship, with extra millions at stake.

With all of that said, let's get into how the weather looks for this weekend's event.

Brazilian Grand Prix 2026 weather

Here is the latest forecast for race day at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez:

Friday, November 5 - FP1 and FP2

After rainfall and an orange alert for storms in the area on Thursday, Friday's weather forecast continues in a similar vein, with thunderstorms and a 55 per cent chance of rain forecast for the morning.

By the time that FP1 gets underway at 12:30 local time (BRT), though, those thunderstorms will have passed, with just a 19-20 per cent chance of rain during the session and temperatures expected to be around 22°C.

Throughout the afternoon in Sao Paulo, the same chance of rain is currently forecast, with the latest weather reports predicting FP2 to take place in almost identical conditions to FP1 at 16:00 local time, albeit with ever so slightly stronger gusts.

Saturday, November 6 - FP3 and Qualifying

On to Saturday, and there is once again a storm alert in place in Sao Paulo, this time yellow. Despite that, things look as though they will be dry when FP3 action gets underway at 11:30 local time.

Though it will be cloudy, temperatures are expected to be in the 28°C range for the final practice session of the weekend, with a zero per cent chance of rainfall at the time of writing.

By the time that qualifying comes around, things have changed, though. At 15:00 local time, temperatures remain warm and humid, but the chance of rain increases to 24 per cent, and by the end of qualifying, it will be 49 per cent.

From there on out at Interlagos, the thunderstorms and rain only get worse for the remainder of the day, so F1 will hope it can get through both FP3 and qualifying with no delays.

Sunday, November 7 - Brazilian Grand Prix

Any running the drivers may have had to do in the wet up until Sunday could come in handy for race day, with the forecasts currently predicting a very wet Brazilian Grand Prix.

From 06:00 right through to 17:00 in Sao Paulo, the chances of rain are put between 90-95 per cent, meaning that by the time the F1 cars are set for lights out, the track may have already seen a huge downpour.

As the race is due to get underway, the chances of rain do not reduce, either, with the Met Office currently predicting over an 80 per cent chance of rainfall right through until 21:00 local time.

At this stage, it looks as though if the F1 stars hit the track on Sunday, they will almost certainly be on wet or intermediate tyres.

Temperatures for Sunday are also expected to be much cooler than the rest of the weekend, currently forecast to be around the 16°C mark for lights out.
