The sixth round of the 2025 Formula 1 world championship takes place this weekend, with the Miami Grand Prix taking centre stage.
Lando Norris will return to the track as the defending race winner for the first time in his career, having taken a stunning victory at the 2024 Miami GP, his first career win that propelled him into a championship challenger.
However, this season Norris is on a four-race win drought, and has fallen 10 points behind team-mate and championship rival Oscar Piastri, with the Brit desperate to repeat his 2024 success in Miami and get back on track.
Miami has hosted F1 since 2022, and this year's event will be the fourth instalment of the race, with Max Verstappen having taken two wins and Norris the other in that time.
The Miami International Autodrome paddock often adopts a party atmosphere, with huge-name celebrities, a sleek artificial boat marina, and, usually, warm Florida spring conditions.
Here is the crucial weather forecast ahead of the 2025 Miami Grand Prix!
Miami Grand Prix weather forecast
Saturday, May 3 - Sprint race and grand prix qualifying
The first of two races takes place on Saturday, with the sprint kicking off at 12pm local time.
Rain is currently pouring down onto the track after a shift in forecasts from the south, with Saturday's 100km event set to take place under wet conditions. This sudden change hampered Charles Leclerc's chances before the sprint race even began, smashing his Ferrari into the wall thanks to the slippery track, with the Monegasque star unable to take part in the event.
The full wet weather provides a chance for stars such as Verstappen to shine in the wet, putting Kimi Antonelli’s chances of converting his first pole position into a victory in jeopardy.
Highs of 27 degrees Celsius are expected for the sprint race while humidity levels are forecast at around 62 per cent.
Qualifying starts at 4pm local time, but the weather conditions could take an unexpected turn again, with sunnier spells and highs of 30 degrees Celsius forecast. The chance of rain drops to 20 per cent after heavy showers in the sprint, with wind gusts at 20km/h.
Sunday, May 4 - Race
Race day at the Miami International Autodrome gets underway at 4pm local time, with cloudier conditions expected throughout the course of the race.
Temperatures of 29 degrees Celsius are forecast for the 57-lap race, with wind gusts remaining around 20km/h and the chance of rain staying low, with only a 22 per cent chance of showers.
