Liberty Media have 'a lot of support' from F1 teams regarding regulations
Formula 1 chairman Chase Carey has claimed that Liberty Media has “a lot of support” from the teams within the sport regarding their proposed regulation changes for 2021, with a meeting with F1 dignitaries set to take place in London on Tuesday.
The American organisation which owns the sport are expected to outlay their plans which will include a proposed budget cap, an evener distribution of prize money among the teams following races, as well as changes to technical regulations.

Every since the alterations were mentioned, Liberty Media has come under criticism, with certain teams such as Ferrari and Mercedes even threatening to leave the sport altogether.
However, Carey says the owners now retain support.
“We’re excited and we think we can do a lot and make the sport a much more exciting sport for fans, and a much better sport for everyone who’s in it,” F1 boss Chase Carey told Sky Sports News.
“And that’s really what we’re looking to achieve.”
“I think we have a lot of support from the teams.
“Obviously when you get into the details, you’ve got 10 teams so you’ve got 10 different views on the details.
“But I think there’s great support for the direction and the vision that we have for the sport.”
