Samantha Busch, the wife of two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch, has revealed she once feared her husband could walk away and never come back.
Samantha and Kyle are very open with the public about all things in their relationship and family, from their struggles with fertility, which they now campaign for incredibly through the Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund, to posting fun videos on social media.
Now, in her latest Instagram post, Samantha has shared advice on how to repair a marriage, revealing that she and Kyle had sat down on her new podcast this week to record an episode on the topic.
Thankfully, Samantha and Kyle were able to overcome some of the struggles they were having and come out of the other side stronger, together, with Samantha writing on Instagram: "This week, Kyle and I hit record and opened up about how we repaired our marriage."
"To be completely real with you—there was a time I thought he’d walk away and never come back. [heartbreak emoji].
"But through time, counseling, and a whole lot of work, we’ve come out stronger. Here’s what we’ve learned and what helped us heal. I’m so proud of us, babe [kiss emoji]."
Samantha's advice was based on five tips, which were broken down in her post as follows.
1. Date your spouse
It doesn't have to be fancy - coffee and a walk is enough. It's about quality time and intentional connection.
2. Set a timer during tough conversations.
Helps one person feel heard without dragging fights on for hours.
3. Go to couples therapy
No shame in getting help. A neutral third party can change everything.
4. Communicate your needs
Clearly. Don't assume your partner just knows. Say it with love and honesty.
5. Choose each other daily
Marriage takes intentional effort, even on the hard days.
It remains to be seen when the aforementioned podcast episode will be released, but Samantha announced her new venture last month on Instagram, with the first episode set to drop on July 8th.
Named 'Certified Oversharer', the podcast promises that 'no topics are off limits' and that it will highlight the 'raw, real, and ridiculous' sides of womanhood.
