Verstappen open to Bathurst Supercars All Stars Eseries return

Sam Hall

Max Verstappen entered the BP Supercars All Stars Eseries with a bang, bagging three second position finishes before leaving the door open to a return next week to race at Bathurst.

The Bathurst 1000 is one of the most famous races in the world and the Mount Panorama circuit is next up for the Supercars Eseries.

Asked whether he would return for another wildcard entry following his successful debut, Verstappen said, "I don't know. Am I invited?"

When the venue for the next event was revealed however, the Dutchman could not hide the excitement from his voice.

"Oh my God," said Verstappen. "Alright, well let's see what's possible in the coming weeks, but it was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed it."

Speaking about his experience of the event overall, Supercars putting together a television package that put all other motorsport related esports championships to shame, Verstappen added, "It was a lot of fun.

"These cars are definitely not easy to drive and to be able to team up with Shane and with Jamie was a lot of fun and actually, to be three times second is not a bad result.

"Twice a one-two for Red Bull so that's good."
