LIVE! F1 Preseason Testing: Test Two, Day One
The home stretch for 2019 preparations is here as the second Formula 1 pre-season test gets under way in Barcelona, with teams looking to build crucial momentum ahead of the campaign starting at the Australian Grand Prix in a little over two weeks.
The first test threw up a few surprises, ending with Renault and Toro Rosso at the top of the timesheets, while Williams endured the misery of missing the first two days of action and then running a limited programme in the three sessions they did appear on track.

Some things are more difficult to change in F1, however, and we left the Circuit de Catalunya last week with the distinct impression that Ferrari look to have nosed ahead of Mercedes in the pecking order this year.
Those within the Silver Arrows camp have cast somewhat gloomy predictions of needing to catch up with the red cars, although we could well get a clearer picture of the natural order once this week is through.
