F1 Practice Today: British Grand Prix 2025 start times, schedule and how to watch live on TV

All the details ahead of British Grand Prix practice at Silverstone

Originally written by Kerry Violet. This version is a translation.

F1 heads back to one of its two ever-present races this weekend, the British Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton claimed victory at his home race to break the record for most wins by a driver at a single circuit in F1's history, and could sent both British and Italian fans into raptures if he can hit double-digits with his first Ferrari win.

Now a record-breaking nine-time race winner at Silverstone alone, Hamilton will be hoping to get the better of not only his team-mate Charles Leclerc, but also his rival home heroes.

British star Lando Norris could have the upper hand for the 12th round of the championship thanks to the support of the home fans as he looks to close the gap even further to fellow McLaren star Oscar Piastri.

The Aussie continues to lead the drivers' standings despite Norris' victory in Austria last weekend, with just 15 points separating the driver duo heading into McLaren's home grand prix.

Having graduated from the University of Sheffield with a 2:1 in Journalism in 2022, Kerry continued her pursuit of finding a full-time position in motorsport through work with the F1 Arcade in London, where she got to meet true fans of the sport and make a live grand prix watch party memorable for them. It was here that she confirmed her dream of combining her background in journalism and love of motorsport, going on to volunteer with the female-led platform Empoword Journalism. Having completed stints as a screen editor and sports editor, Kerry landed her first F1-specific editorial role with GPFans and has thoroughly enjoyed continuing to work closely with the sport ever since. The access GPFans offers Kerry has allowed her to interview big names such as Naomi Schiff and David Coulthard and given her experiences she could only have dreamt of as a young F1 fan.
