Audi has enjoyed strong campaigns in the World Endurance Championship, World Rally Championship and DTM, but F1 is an entirely different challenge.

Ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix, the manufacturer confirmed that it will compete as a power unit supplier when the new regulations come into force in 2026.

It is known that Audi is looking to acquire an existing team and the most likely candidate for this is Sauber.

After Audi's announcement, Alfa Romeo confirmed its partnership with the Swiss team will end in 2023, something that further stoked these rumours.
