Emilia Romagna GP weather: Could race be hit with a thunderstorm?
The weather so far across the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix weekend has been a real mixed bag and that is set to continue for the race itself.
Following 24 hours of non-stop rain over Imola from Thursday afternoon into Friday's qualifying session, blue skies at least then prevailed on Saturday for the sprint.
There was further heavy overnight rain into Sunday that has since dried out but from race start time onwards that is when it gets interesting.
Showers are forecast, and there is even the potential for a thunderstorm from 1pm local time onwards through into the night, leading to temperatures set to be no higher than 15 to 16 degrees.
It certainly appears as if the race, with Red Bull's Max Verstappen on pole from the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc, has the potential to be a spicy one.
Emilia Romagna Grand Prix weather forecast
Sunday: There is now a strong threat of rain during the race, and even the potential for a storm. Maximum temperature: 16 degrees Chance of rain: 50%
