Ricciardo reveals 'biggest F1 win'
Daniel Ricciardo has described his Monza victory for McLaren as "the biggest" of his F1 career.
Ricciardo scored a surprise win at the Italian Grand Prix last year as McLaren dominated to score the only one-two result for any team across the season with Lando Norris crossing the line second.
Despite topping the podium on seven previous occasions, however, all for Red Bull, it is his success with McLaren that tops Ricciardo's career list.
"The more time that passes since Monza, the more I realise the effect of that and I really do think it was the biggest moment, win, race kind of day of my motorsport career," said Ricciardo, talking in December.
After joining McLaren from Renault prior to the start of last season, Ricciardo endured a somewhat up and down year as he struggled to get to grips with the MCL35M.
Asked if it was the biggest 'rollercoaster ride' of his career, the Australian added: "Yeah, I would say so.
"The second half of 2018 had its challenges and at the time that was the most for me, but last year as a whole, absolutely.
"Thinking about the first half and the highs, it has been pretty wild. I certainly reflect on the second half of the season much better than where I was kind of reflecting back in August."
