Red Bull, Ferrari and AlphaTauri all returned to the track this week - Silverstone, Mugello and Imola hearing the roar of Formula 1 machinery.
Three teams hit the track in three days on the final non-race-week before the 2020 season finally gets underway.
First, Ferrari tested the 2018 SF71H car at Mugello. On Tuesday, both Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel completed a close to a full grand prix distance each.
The day also offered officials the chance to bank some stunning photographs, sharing the beauty of the Tuscan hills in a bid to convince Formula 1 that the venue deserves a place on the new-look calendar.
Wednesday saw another Italian circuit called into action. Imola.
The former grand prix venue is also vying for a position on the 2020 calendar, and, as the local track for AlphaTauri made use of the facilities.
Daniil Kvyat and Pierre Gasly both spent time in the AlphaTauri AT01, but also completed laps in the 2018 Toro Rosso STR13, allowing the drivers some added seat time rather than being beholden to the 100km limit for modern cars.
Finally, Thursday was the turn of Red Bull.
With Max Verstappen prevented from taking part, UK quarantine rules meaning the Dutchman would have needed to have arrived in the country two-weeks prior to the test, Alex Albon completed the full 100km of permitted running in the 2020 Red Bull RB16 at Silverstone.
Previously, Mercedes, Racing Point and Renault had all completed tests of shakedowns, with McLaren warming its drivers up in a pair of F3 cars.
