Max Verstappen will start on pole position for the second time this season at the Brazilian GP, as he looks to make up for last year's lost victory.

The Dutchman has Sebastian Vettel for company on the front row as Red Bull and Ferrari look to gain a confidence-boosting win as Mercedes celebrate a sixth title double in a row at their expense.

Vettel will not have team-mate Charles Leclerc in close quarters, however, with the Monegasque serving a 10-place grid drop for taking a new engine.

Carlos Sainz is also out of position, due to start last after suffering a power outage in Q1 at Interlagos. McLaren took the advantage to fit the Spaniard with a new engine.
