VIDEO: Vettel's blistering opening lap at Hockenheim!
The German Grand Prix proved to be a rollercoaster of emotions for hometown boy Sebastian Vettel. It initially looked like things wouldn't go his way as he only managed to stay out in qualifying for a few seconds before retiring, meaning he would start the race in 20th.
However, as chaos ensued around him with drivers crashing out left, right, and centre, he kept his composure to finish on the podium in second place, all the way from 20th. He had the best possible start, too, as he was relentless in his first lap after Lights Out.
The perfect first lap? 🤩
