NASCAR legend Kyle Busch has suggested a radical change in the Cup Series ahead of this weekend's action at Dover Motor Speedway.

As NASCAR returns to a more familiar oval layout after racing on road courses over the last few weeks, the topic of aero blocking has once again arisen.

Aero blocking is when a driver uses the airflow and 'dirty air' around their car to disrupt a car that is following and attempting to overtake, making it harder for them to pass.

This has been a particularly effective technique for drivers to use in the next-gen cars, with a rear-view camera fitted to the vehicles that drivers can see from within the cockpit to aid them in their defence.

Busch, however, has suggested a change in the rules to address the issue.

Kyle Busch weighs in on in-car camera debate

Asked about the in-car camera and whether or not NASCAR should take it away in a press conference at Dover, the two-time Cup Series champion suggested an interesting solution to the problem.

"Us talking about it isn't going to change anything," Busch said in a press conference.

"I would say that if you run the mirror, you don't get a spotter.

"If you want a spotter then you don't get the mirror, the camera, so pick one."

Asked which of the two options he would choose if he had to, Busch added: "What would I pick?"

"I would pick the spotter over the mirror."

Busch's suggestion would be quite a radical switch, with drivers currently afforded the luxury of having their in-car camera, as well as a spotter at the track, but it would certainly be interesting to see what effect it would have on the racing if some opted for one option, and others, the other.

The Richard Childress Racing driver is not the first to call for the cameras to be removed either, with Kyle Larson among drivers to have asked for the same in recent years since their introduction.
