Kevin Harvick reveals the only NASCAR race Kyle Busch could WIN to make playoffs

Former NASCAR Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick has highlighted Kyle Busch's one chance to break his winless streak and make the playoffs.

The racing legend is on the longest winless streak of his career, having not visited victory road for more than two years, and looks set to miss the playoffs for the second straight year.

Busch has racked up 63 race wins over a storied career, but has spent the last couple of years scrabbling around for points, with his move to Richard Childress Racing looking bleak after a promising start.

Speaking on his Happy Hour podcast this week, Harvick ruled out the 40-year-old making the playoffs via points and claimed that the Coke Zero Sugar 400 will be Busch's only chance to make the postseason.

Busch in danger of playoff cut

Busch has won five times at the famous superspeedway (although not since 2016), and came second there last year in the same summer race.

“I just think it’s too inconsistent at this point. I think he has his strengths – he’s Kyle freaking Busch. He could go to Daytona and win – I don’t believe he’s going to go win anywhere else.”

Speaking after another disappointing failure to lock into a playoff spot, Busch said: “I think it just boils down to all of us on our team being accountable. Pit crew, myself, [crew chief] Randall [Burnett], engineers, everybody and being able to do what we know how to do and what we’re paid to do and that’s to execute.”

For all of Harvick's cynicism, this weekend's race at Dover could favor the veteran, who's taken pole there in each of the last two races and finished in the top five last year.
