NASCAR's Cup Series race at Sonoma on Sunday could should be a fascinating one, with Shane van Gisbergen looking for back-to-back wins.
Chicago Street Race winner Van Gisbergen won from pole last weekend, but was denied the chance of a double sweep by Connor Zilisch in the Xfinity Series on Saturday afternoon.
In qualifying for the main race on Sunday, the New Zealander beat out Chase Briscoe by exactly quarter of a second .
Meanwhile, William Byron, Ross Chastain and AJ Allmendinger will round out the top five – with Ty Gibbs qualifying sixth to be the best placed of the In-Season Challenge drivers.
Only one driver was unable to set a time in qualifying, with a brake issue in practice meaning that Katherine Legge will start from the back of the field. However, unlike in Chicago last weekend, there are only 37 drivers and no cut line at Sonoma, so she never risked missing the race entirely.
With that said, let’s take a look at Sunday's start order in full!
