Hendrick Motorsports star Kyle Larson has confirmed the worst-kept secret in the Cup Series.

The 2021 champion recently appeared on the Field Day podcast, where he was grilled on a number of matters regarding stock car racing.

This included a question on what his favorite track in the Cup Series was, and Larson did not hesitate, quickly revealing his answer, which we all could have guessed.

“Favourite track? Bristol [Motor Speedway],” Larson explained. “Bristol would be my favorite track.”

When quizzed by the podcast host on why that was the case, the Cup Series champion continued: “It’s a half-mile. So it’s like our shortest track,”

“High bank, it’s just super fast, intense laps we’re going around there. 14 seconds, 500 laps too, so it’s just intense.

“It’s one of those tracks your heart rate will be … it’ll spike at 190 or something and yeah, just trying to manage all that for the whole race is fun.”

Kyle Larson excels at Bristol Motor Speedway

To those who have watched the Cup Series regularly in recent seasons, Larson's answer here will come as absolutely no surprise whatsoever.

The Hendrick Motorsports star's love for the short track in Tennessee is well-known, and his results there have certainly been impressive in recent years.

In the last five seasons, for example, Larson has won three Cup Series races at Bristol, as well as achieving a second place in that time, too.

This included winning in dominant fashion earlier this season when Larson led for 411 of the 500 racing laps in the No. 5.

Larson also attempted the sweep at Bristol in 2025, but fell agonizingly short, winning the Cup and Xfinity Series races but only finishing second in the Truck Series event that weekend.

The Cup Series returns to Bristol for a night race on September 13 and you can be sure that Larson will be the driver to watch that weekend.
