RFK Racing star and co-owner Brad Keselowski has questioned NASCAR's decision to hand him a penalty during Sunday's race at Michigan.

The 2012 Cup Series champion came home in 10th after 200 laps of action, marking only his second top 10 of the season and his second-best finish of the campaign so far. His best came at Charlotte in May's Coca-Cola 600 with a P5.

However, Keselowski was surely left ruing what could have been post-race, given that he was sent to the tail-end of the field for an in-race infraction on lap 110.

NASCAR officials deemed that the No. 6 car had been speeding on pit road and the former champ was hit with a penalty as a result.

Keselowski was one of four drivers found guilty of speeding on pit road during the race, with Kyle Larson, AJ Allmendinger, and Todd Gilliland also hit with penalties.

Perhaps even more frustratingly, Keselowski has now revealed that he does not believe that he should have been penalized in the first place.

After one fan took to X to tell Keselowski that his speeding penalty was 'trash', the RFK co-owner seemed to agree, revealing new data to back up his argument.

"Still not sure how we got speeding penalty from Sunday," Keselowski wrote on X.

"Our incar telemetry shows 59.4mph where NASCAR’s system showed 60.9mph."

Astonishingly, fellow Cup Series driver Gilliland, who was also hit with a speeding penalty at Michigan on Sunday, also questioned the penalty that he was given in response.

"I got one right in front of you at the same time, by a lot...," Gilliland replied to Keselowski's post. "Didn't even think I was close."

"Really weird deal," Keselowski responded.
