Audi and Porsche - will they prove a welcome addition to F1?
GPFans Staff
It appears the rumours surrounding a potential entry into F1 for both Porsche and Audi finally appear to be coming to a head.
It is understood the Volkswagen Group, the parent company of both manufacturers, is to confirm as early as next week the green light has been given for the two brands to start planning for F1 from 2026.
At this stage, both are heavily linked with McLaren and Red Bull, and it remains to be seen whether a partnership will be forged or whether either will be a standalone entry.
The key question for the daily poll today is whether F1 will prove a good fit for Audi and Porsche given their long and successful histories in sportscars and other series.
