Norris "bruised but recovering" after qualifying crash

Norris took to Instagram with snap showing recovery compression sleeve

Lando Norris has taken to Instagram after his Belgian Grand Prix qualifying crash and insisted he is "well and recovering" ahead of the race.

The McLaren driver was on course to challenge for pole position in treacherous conditions at Spa-Francorchamps when he lost control at Eau Rouge in Q3.

Norris was sent to hospital for precautionary checks and an x-ray with concerns over his elbow, which was seen encased in a compression recovery sleeve in his social media photo.

McLaren later confirmed Norris had been given the all-clear to take part in the race.

In his Instagram post, Norris said: "Big crash and feeling a little bruised but I’m well and recovering ready for the race tomorrow.

"Thank you for all the messages, see you on race day!"
