VIDEO: Senna's McLaren MP4/4 gets Goodwood outing

The McLaren MP4/4 is widely regarded as one of, if not the, most successful cars in Formula 1 history.

Driven by Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost in the 1988 season, the car took pole position and victory in 15 of the 16 races that year.

It's only 'failures' came at Silverstone, where Nigel Mansell took pole position for Williams (only to be beaten by Senna), and Monza, the scene of a famous win for Gerhard Berger in the home car shortly after Enzo Ferrari's death.

Senna won the first of his three world championships that year, edging out Prost by three points.

The machine that took him to that success was given an outing at the Goodwood Festival of Speed over the weekend, driven by ex-F1 racer Takuma Sato.
