Verstappen punishment slammed by F1 fans

Max Verstappen will serve part of his "community service" for shoving Esteban Ocon at this weekend's Marrakesh E-Prix. The Red Bull man was punished by the FIA for the altercation at the Brazilian Grand Prix and will "observe stewards" at the second round of the Formula E season. Not all fans were convinced that the punishment fit the crime, however…
Wait, so Verstappen's FIA punishment for the pitlane punch-up is having to attend a Formula E race? Sure that's playing out well with the press office. pic.twitter.com/ZpF0rE1YFT — Will Buxton (@wbuxtonofficial) January 11, 2019
"Verstappen, you've been naughty, now go to a Formula E race and think about what you've done!" eeeeh, ok FIA. ???? #wtf — Susanne Kainer (@floralcars1) January 12, 2019
Can’t help but feel that the @fia is sending the wrong messages about @FIAFormulaE.
- It’s a punishment (or public service) for @Max33Verstappen to have to attend a Formula E race.
- The racing could fade into the background of the Max Verstappen show. — Alex Griffin (@alexjgriffin23) January 12, 2019
As part of his ‘public service’ misdemeanour sentence Max Verstappen has to go to the Marrakesh Formula E race? WTF is that all about? #f1 #formulae — t h e s t e v e c e e (@thestevecee) January 12, 2019
I’ve just seen part of Verstappen’s community service is to be at the Formula E Race in Marrakesh...um..that sounds like a holiday? Madness — Jacki (@MissJackx) January 12, 2019
@fia hey guys just a random F1 fan. Your punishment towards Verstappen is bullshit. — Patrick McGuinness (@guinsters92) January 12, 2019
#Verstappen #F1 Can I punch an #F1 driver & earn a visit to @FIAFormulaE race control? ???????????????? https://t.co/AdmrbSxtzZ — by iberianmph.com ???? (@p2pc2e) January 12, 2019
