Hamilton's 'rock and roll' life helping him on-track
Mercedes boss Toto Wolff sees no reason to curb Lewis Hamilton's "rock and roll" lifestyle as the driver marches towards a fifth world title. Hamilton spent much of his time before the Singapore Grand Prix launching his clothing line, but still returned to the track on form.
Hamilton delivered one of his very best qualifying performances to take pole position and then raced away to a dominant win, opening up a 40-point lead in the standings ahead of Sebastian Vettel.
Although the Briton has been criticised in the past by pundits for a lavish lifestyle, Wolff is happy to indulge his star man if he keeps delivering on the track.
"For six years, I've heard people ask how can you allow Lewis to get off and fly around the world," Wolff said.
"You know what? He did it to his most extreme in the last 10 days.

"He loved it, he was in Shanghai on the catwalk, he was in New York a couple of days later, he came here rock and roll and he blew everyone away.
"Let's be non-judgemental and allow everyone to judge how he performed best. And he knows best what is good for him."
Hamilton spoke about balancing his commitments before the race at the Marina Bay Circuit, insisting that racing remains his top priority.
"There's not a single moment during those two weeks, whilst I have those other things going on, that I'm not thinking about racing, not thinking about the championship or how I want to arrive," he added.
"I get a lot of energy from these different things that I do. I find it stimulating and I think you'll see that my results have shown that for the past several years."
