Why the British GP is going to be FAST
The British Grand Prix is always one of the most thrilling rides for drivers but 2018 will kick it up a notch thanks to a unique DRS zone added for this week's race. A DRS zone through turn one and two will be introduced this week, the first instance of a section of track other than a straight to feature.
Drivers often hit 160 mph going through Abbey and Farm but will have the chance to go even faster after the FIA confirmed it would be the third DRS zone at Silverstone this weekend.

Races in Australia, Canada and Austria have also featured three DRS zones in 2018 as race organisers try to up the amount of on-track action.
"It's not a big zone, but the interesting thing is that they could use it open through Turn 1 if they wanted to," the FIA's Charlie Whiting said.

"Once they activate it after Turn 18, on the exit of the last corner, it only closes when they either brake or back off. They could potentially go through Turns 1 and 2 with it open. Let's see."
The exceptional placing of the zone won't just give some drivers a chance to overtake, but it will also give a hint as to whose cars are performing best and which drivers have the nerve to keep their foot in the throttle at crazy speeds!
DRS zones already exist into turn five (Aintree) and turn 14 (Chapel).
