Binotto on 2020 line-up: Vettel going nowhere, Leclerc needs to learn
Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto insists that both Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc will still be driving for the team next season.
During the summer break for the 2019 campaign, ‘silly season’ is in full force as rumours and speculation circulate about potential driver exits and incomings. The top teams are not immune, as Binotto has been forced to confirm the futures of both of his drivers.
"We have a couple of high-level drivers and I see no reason why we have to change anything," he is quoted by Marca.
"Both have a contract and there is no doubt that Vettel will be with us in 2020.
"Charles is in his first year with Ferrari and there is a lot of pressure. He has made some mistakes but he is all about learning and not repeating them."
It has not been a vintage season for the Scuderia so far as they are the only one of the top three teams yet to taste victory in a race, with Mercedes winning 12 and Red Bull winning two through Lewis Hamilton, Valtteri Bottas, and Max Verstappen respectively.

Vettel, in particular, has been the main target for criticism and is regularly savaged by the partisan Italian sports media whenever a mistake is made over a race weekend.
There has indeed even been speculation that the German could potentially retire at the end of the 2019 season, but he was quick to play down those rumours in June.
