Red Bull explain grid-slot repairs done on Verstappen, Gasly's cars
Red Bull have explained that both Max Verstappen and Pierre Gasly's cars required new parts to be fitted to the rear wing on the grid before the British Grand Prix.
The team had a somewhat frantic final preparation for Sunday's Silverstone race, with new endplates being ran from the garage to the home straight after cracks were discovered.
Complicating matters for the team, they had to ask the FIA's permission to change the parts, so as not to break parc ferme regulations.
The quick-smart changes seemed to pay off as both cars ran without complications from that part of the car.

"One of the mechanics doing one of the checks found a crack in the rear wing of Max, so we applied to get permission to change it," Red Bull team boss Christian Horner said.
"Then, there was an inspection on Pierre’s and we could see the very start of a crack appearing in the same place. So permission to change them both was granted just as a security, and we did that."
Gasly finished fourth, and Verstappen fifth at Silverstone as the Frenchman beat his team-mate in a race for the first time with the aid of Sebastian Vettel crashing into the Dutchman at Vale.
