Norris during FP1 in Montreal

F1 stars and their cars hit Circuit Gilles Villeneuve today, Sunday, June 15, for the 2025 Canadian Grand Prix.

Sunday's race is teed up to be an exciting one, too, with a real mixed up starting grid after Saturday's qualifying session.

Indeed, whilst McLaren may have been the favourites heading into the weekend, the top two positions on the grid were locked out by a Mercedes and a Red Bull, with George Russell beating Max Verstappen to pole on Saturday. It will certainly be interesting to see how McLaren reacts and if they can bounce back during today's race.

Of course, the team enter the race sitting top and rather comfortable in both F1 championships. In the constructors', for example, McLaren lead Ferrari by an enormous 197 points, whilst Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris sit first and second, respectively, in the drivers' standings.

One thing to certainly keep an eye on is Verstappen and his behavior this weekend, with the four-time F1 champion now on 11 penalty points following the Spanish Grand Prix. One penalty point this weekend, therefore, would see him banned for the next grand prix in Austria.

With that said, let's get into all of the details you need to know ahead of today's race!
