The results are in from the first full day of practice at the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix, with Ferrari star Charles Leclerc topping both sessions.
Leclerc had an early crash in FP1 when he drove straight into the back of Lance Stroll's Aston Martin, but bounced back emphatically to top that session, and back it up with the quickest time in FP2, too.
Leclerc's FP2 time of 1:11:355 edged McLaren's Oscar Piastri by just 0.038 seconds in Monte Carlo, with Piastri himself having also experienced a crash on Friday, sending his MCL39 flying into the wall at Sainte Devote and bringing out a red flag. Thankfully, the McLaren star was able to continue in the session, going on to just miss out on top spot.
Elsewhere in Monaco, FP2 also proved a strong session for Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton, showing that his P4 finish at Imola last time out was no fluke. Hamilton finished FP2 just over one-tenth off the pace of his team-mate, with the three-time Monaco GP race-winner looking good heading into Saturday.
Further down the order, it proved a challenging FP2 for Red Bull, with neither Yuki Tsunoda nor Max Verstappen able to finish the session inside the top 10. In fact, they were both beaten by their two junior cars, to make matters worse, with Liam Lawson and Isack Hadjar ending the session in P5 and P6.
With that said, let’s take a look at the full finishing order below!
