Vettel given special delivery by Aston Martin ahead of new F1 season

Sebastian Vettel has taken delivery of a unique simulator to prepare for grand prix weekends at home.

Aston Martin has created a "cutting-edge" simulator modelled on a research and development chassis of last season's AMR21 challenger.

With the increase in races being added to the F1 calendar, the amount of time for drivers to return to base and prepare for upcoming races in the simulator is at a premium.

Four-time champion Vettel was unable to complete simulator time ahead of last year's inaugural Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, providing a potential disadvantage during the weekend.

The new simulator was first decided upon late last year, with physical parts from the AMR21 integrated into the design that also houses three screens.

The move ensures Vettel will now be able to complete simulator preparation from his own home to arrive at each race with the best chance possible of succeeding.
