Sebastian Vettel is out of the Russian Grand Prix after suffering from a MGU-K engine issue during lap 28 in Sochi.
The German had a superb start to the race as he overtook team-mate Charles Leclerc shortly after Lights Out, defying team orders in the process.
Eventually, Ferrari swapped the positions of their drivers around but it was shortly after this tactic was initiated that Vettel complained of kinetic problems within his car, with him subsequently voluntarily driving to the side of the track.
He hopped out of his car and dejectedly walked back to the paddock, with hopes of a second race win of the season going up in smoke.
He could be heard over team radio saying "Bring back the f***ing V12" in reference to the previous incarnation of the F1 engine before the V6 hybrid era.
