VIDEO: Unseen footage of Hamilton and Lauda celebrating pole record

A heart-warming video has emerged, showing celebrations behind the scenes at Mercedes after qualifying for the 2017 Italian Grand Prix, in which Lewis Hamilton took pole position. Hamilton's Saturday success at Monza, surpassed Michael Schumacher's all-time Formula 1 pole position record.

The video shows Hamilton returning to the Silver Arrows' motorhome where Niki Lauda is among the first people to greet him.

Hamilton's Saturday success was the 69th pole position of his career, taking him beyond Schumacher.

Also present is Dr Dieter Zetsche, then-head of Mercedes, who has recently retired.

Mercedes, and Hamilton, have continued winning plenty since that moment, but the celebrations were increased by the Brit securing a place in F1 history for his own.
