Hamilton: Ferrari fans full of hate

Lewis Hamilton branded Ferrari fans "full of so much hate and negativity" after receiving a less-than favourable reception from the Tifosi at the Italian Grand Prix. The Mercedes man was jeered while being interviewed after qualifying and similar treatment on Sunday's driver parade at Monza prompted a social-media response from the reigning champion.

Hamilton was never likely to receive the backing of the Italian crowd as he battles Sebastian Vettel for the drivers' title, while leading Mercedes' fight with Ferrari in the constructors' standings.

However, the rough treatment clearly irked the Briton, as he issued a message to his sparse fans in the Monza grandstands while taking aim at his detractors.
