Alonso on top form in Le Mans
Fernando Alonso was once again in supreme form in World Endurance Championship, setting the fastest lap in practice for the Le Mans 24 Hours. Toyota's strength in the LMP1 category gives Alonso a great chance of adding the second leg of the 'Triple Crown' to his collection.
With two Monaco Grand Prix wins, victory at Le Mans in two weeks' time would leave Alonso with just the Indianapolis 500 to win to match Graham Hill's unique feat of winning all three famous races.

Alonso's Toyota squad won at the Six Hours of Spa last month and the Spaniard set the fastest lap on Sunday as teams took to Le Mans in practice for the first time.

His future in F1 remains up in the air, amid reports he could quit the sport as McLaren have failed to deliver him a car capable of winning races.
And Alonso seems much more at home in WEC at the moment, where he continues to enjoy great success.
"It was a very good day for us as a team," Alonso said after ending Sunday's testing with a best time of three minutes 19.066 seconds.
The #8 #TS050 HYBRID tops the timings at #LeMans24 Test Day with @alo_oficial setting a time of 3:19.066 ????
A 3:20.008 from @kamui_kobayashi was enough to put the #7 car in 3rd position.
All attention now turns towards the big one, the Le Mans 24 Hours in under 2 weeks! ???????? pic.twitter.com/hab8rMfO52 — TOYOTA GAZOO Racing WEC (@Toyota_Hybrid) June 3, 2018
"We obviously prepared this test in the best way possible before the big race in two weeks' time.
"The car felt good from the first lap and everyone was happy straight away.
"Then it was about getting familiar with the circuit; I have been in the simulator and studied onboard laps from previous years but it's always different on the real track which feels perfect for these cars.
"It was an interesting day and a lot of fun."
