[FOR MORNING] F1 records up for grabs in 2023

There are only four weeks left until the 2023 Formula 1 season starts and it promises to bring a lot of emotions. In addition, there are several marks that could be broken.

This is the second year with new rules. This means that all the drivers and teams should be much more adapted and offer better performance.

This is one of the most repeated forecasts by experts: it will be a more even campaign than the previous one and that is going to make the hair stand on end in each test.

Here we review the records that could be set in this new F1 cycle.

The number of Grand Prix finishes: Lewis Hamilton or Fernando Alonso

356: this is the starting number that Alonso has, which easily holds this record which will improve it even further in 2023.

On the other hand, Hamilton is close behind in terms of the number of Grands Prix completed under the checkered flag: 281 for the Spanish against 280 in favor of the British. Any error and especially reliability could influence this record in the coming months.

World titles: Lewis Hamilton

Perhaps without Michael Masi's decisions, Lewis Hamilton would already be an eight-time world champion. An absolute record that the Mercedes driver is very aware of.

The Briton is thirsty for victories after a blank year 2022 and a rematch from Abu Dhabi 2021 that was therefore not taken.

The number of Grand Slams: Lewis Hamilton

Achieving pole position, fastest lap and winning having led every lap: a chosen performance , rare and often conspicuous.

Jim Clark has the record of eight Grand Slams. Hamilton is at six and can still beat him.

The number of hat-tricks: Lewis Hamilton

The Grand Slam without having led every lap of the race: still an exceptional feat of weapons that Michael Schumacher achieved 22 times.

Hamilton can also try to beat this record, as he registers 19 hat-tricks.

The number of victories during a Championship

Max Verstappen, current two-time world champion, broke this record in 2022, winning 15 of 22 races in the Program.

Could you do better? Will any of your opponents be able to beat this record? Does he have a chance to improve himself?

Number of podiums during a championship: Max Verstappen

In 2021, the Red Bull driver was on the podium 18 times, which is the current record.

With 23 races on the calendar in 2023, Verstappen or one of his opponents could be tempted to do better.

Number of single Grand Prix wins: Lewis Hamilton

At Silverstone and Budapest, Hamilton won eight times. Schumacher had achieved the same performance in France.

The Mercedes driver could thus become the first driver to win the race nine times on the same circuit, in Great Britain or Hungary.

Number of pole positions in the same Grand Prix: Lewis Hamilton

Regarding the pole positions in the same circuit, Ayrton Senna, Schumacher and Hamilton share the record: eight, in San Marino for Senna, in Japan for the German and in Australia and Hungary for the British.

As with victories at the same venue,Hamilton will have two chances to break that record this year.
