'Non-essential' AlphaTauri forced into lockdown
'Non-essential' AlphaTauri forced into lockdown
AlphaTauri has complied with the Italian government's instruction for all non-essential businesses to close their doors.
The worst hit of any European nation by the coronavirus pandemic, Italian officials have moved a step closer to declaring a complete national lockdown as revealed by a tweet from AlphaTauri.
"Following the Italian Government's decision to close down all non-essential businesses due to Covid-19 lockdown until the 3rd of April, our factory is now closed, with home working allowed where possible," read the tweet. "The health of our team is our priority right now."

F1 teams are expected to complete a three-week 'summer shutdown' before the end of April, but with employees working from home, AlphaTauri has clearly decided that now is not their moment of choice.
Ferrari started its 'spring break' last Thursday, with its factory in Maranello based in an area that has been hardest hit by the contagion.
On Monday, it was announced the F1 season would be delayed by at least one more week with the postponement of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
