Ricciardo under investigation after Renault breach
Daniel Ricciardo is facing a stewards' investigation after qualifying eighth at the Singapore Grand Prix over a breach of regulations regarding the electrical power of his Renault.
Ricciardo was found to have "exceeded the MGU-K power limit of 120 kW" during Q1 at the Marina Bay Circuit.
The Australian qualified a place ahead of Renault team-mate Nico Hulkenberg to secure the qualifying battle between them this season.
Only one driver started qualifying with a grid penalty having over them, with Sergio Perez dropping five places back from 11th due to a change of gearbox, necessitated by a collision with the barriers in FP3.
