Alonso deal of interest to Formula E
Alonso deal of interest to Formula E
Formula E CEO Alejandro Agag has not ruled out the prospect of trying to lure Fernando Alonso to the all-electric series. After falling out of race-winning contention at McLaren, Alonso has set sights on winning the Indianapolis 500 and Le Mans 24 Hours to complete motorsport's 'Triple Crown'.
Nick Heidfeld, Jean-Eric Vergne and Alonso's WEC team-mate Sebastien Buemi are among the former F1 drivers in FE currently, while former Ferrari man Felipe Massa has signed up for the fifth season, which starts in December.
Having sampled IndyCar and the World Endurance Championship in the past year, Agag hopes Alonso's taste for new experiences will take him to FE.

"I would love to have him," Agag told Autosport.
"He wants to win everything - he wants to win Le Mans and Indy, then he will be missing Formula E, so he will have to come here.
"Alberto Longo [FE deputy CEO] knows Fernando very well - me too - for many years.
"We actually used to sit in the Renault motorhome with his father and his manager to watch [F1] races.
"He is obviously an incredibly talented driver and it would be a privilege for us to have him here. He wants to win other stuff first - let's hope he makes it quick."
Alonso is entering his 300th grand prix in Canada this week, but he has gone more than five years without a win in F1 after a move to McLaren fell flat amid Honda's struggles to produce a competitive power unit.
McLaren's interest in entering an IndyCar team is reportedly growing, which could include Alonso swapping series.
"Last year I signed a multi-year contract," he said.
"I know the team is considering many different options, since the North American market is important for McLaren. Let's see how events will develop."
