Bahrain Grand Prix: Starting grid with penalties applied
Charles Leclerc will start a Formula 1 race from P1 for the first time at the Bahrain Grand Prix after becoming the series' second youngest qualifying winner in history at the Sakhir circuit. He led a Ferrari one-two ahead of Sebastian Vettel, with Mercedes on the second row.
Leclerc is now Ferrari's youngest polesitter in F1 history, having dominated Saturday's action in Bahrain.
He will have team-mate Vettel for company on the front row, with the German looking for a hat-trick of wins in Bahrain, and a fifth triumph here overall.
With the Silver Arrows snapping at Ferrari's heels on the second row, Max Verstappen may also hope to make inroads from fifth on the grid, having looked strong in race trim during Friday practice.
His Red Bull team-mate Pierre Gasly will once again start outside the top 10, hampering his chances of repeating last year's excellent P4.
