NASCAR has a new team, with their debut set to come as soon as late July, an official statement has confirmed.

Greg Van Alst Motorsports announced the formation of a part-time NASCAR Truck Series team on Tuesday, with the new outfit set to compete at multiple races throughout the remainder of 2025.

Van Alst will be driving for the team he owns, piloting the No. 35 Toyota as soon as the TSport 200 at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park on July 25.

The team also plans to run at Bristol Motor Speedway on September 11, Talladega Superspeedway on October 17, and Martinsville Speedway on October 24, which is the penultimate race of the Truck Series season.

Speaking as part of the statement that confirmed the formation of the team, owner-driver Van Alst revealed it is a long-term ambition of his to start a Truck Series program.

“This has been in the works for the last couple of months,” he explained.

“Starting a Truck Series program has been an eventual goal of mine for a long time, and to finally see it coming together, especially at a place like Lucas Oil Raceway, where I’ve turned so many laps, is incredibly special.

“We know there’s a lot of work ahead, but we’re committed to building something competitive and sustainable, and we’re excited to take this next step with Top Choice Fence, and hopefully, more partners join us along the way.”

With hard work ahead, Van Alst is under no illusions that the team will be running at the front, instead setting out realistic goals for the rest of 2025 ahead of what they hope will be a further expansion of their operations heading into 2026.

“We’re not coming into this expecting to set the world on fire right away,” Van Alst explained.

“We’ve set some realistic goals for this season and know the key is gaining experience and improving each time we hit the track.

"The more races we run, the stronger this team will become.”
