A NASCAR driver is confident that he will be in the Cup Series once again next season despite it being confirmed he is set to leave his current team.

It was announced last week that Daniel Suarez and Trackhouse Racing have mutually agreed to part ways at the end of the 2025 season, when the Mexican star's current deal with the team expires.

Naturally, this leaves Suarez looking for a drive for next season, but the No. 99 driver is sure that he will find another seat in NASCAR's elite series.

“Yes, I’m confident about that,” Suarez said in a clear statement of intent at Chicago.

“But by contract, I couldn’t talk to anyone about this, even though I knew this was going to happen for a while, I couldn’t talk to anyone about this until this week.

“So we’ve been working to try to show different options and find our new home.”

Suarez: 'No love' at Trackhouse anymore

By the time he departs the team, Suarez will have spent five seasons as a Trackhouse Racing driver, with two wins under his belt so far, at Sonoma in 2022 and at Atlanta in 2024.

Despite his lengthy period with the team, however, Suarez admits he is somewhat relieved it is now all over, revealing that there was no love between himself and the team anymore.

"Mainly a lot of relief for me because I have known for several months that this was going to happen," Suarez replied when quizzed on his emotions.

“It’s just like everything in life ... things change, people change, companies change and that’s okay, there’s nothing wrong with that.

"There just wasn’t really love anymore. There are no hard feelings at all.

"I really want to stick to the amazing years that we had together early with Trackhouse, and it was just time for a change.”
