NASCAR star Ryan Blaney uses interview to TROLL Cup Series rival Chase Elliott

NASCAR star Ryan Blaney has used a recent interview to troll Cup Series rival Chase Elliott.

Blaney and Elliott are two of the best drivers in the Cup Series, with the Team Penske and Hendrick Motorsports drivers having both won championships in 2023 and 2020, respectively, and 34 races between them.

Two of those victories have come in 2025, with both drivers now locked into the playoffs following Elliott's win at Atlanta last time out, with Blaney having got himself in with a win at Talladega earlier this season.

However, whilst the pair will once again go up against each other on track for the Cup Series championship later this season, it isn't the only arena in which their rivalry plays out.

Ryan Blaney trolls Chase Elliott skills

It appears that the two are also competitive with one another when it comes to golf, with Blaney hijacking a recent interview of Elliott's to troll his skills out on the course.

In Elliott's interview with The Athletic, Blaney got to ask one of the questions, via Jeff Gluck, and elected to go for: "When are you ever going to get better at golf, and how many hours will you have to put in to get to my level?"

Elliott responded well but fiercely, admitting he isn't as good as Blaney, but that he wants to get better so that he can beat him.

"Wow! Wow. It’s a valid question. It really is," Elliott said, laughing at the question.

"I go through these little pockets where I get better and then I fall back apart again. For the record, I’ve hung with him a few times. I’m not as good as him.

"I’d love to get out more and play and try to give him a run. But listen, I want to be able to go beat him.

"There’s nothing like going to play somebody like him who’s going to give you a bunch of crap for it and him have to give me strokes. That just sucks.

"So maybe one day. We’ll keep chipping at it."
