The 2025 NASCAR Cup Series hits Atlanta this weekend, with qualifying taking place on Friday, June 27, ahead of the Quaker State 400 and the start of the inaugural Cup Series In-Season Tournament.
The action at Atlanta this weekend comes after a trip to Pocono last time out, where Chase Briscoe triumphed at the Tricky Triangle to lock himself into the playoffs in a race which was delayed by over two hours by rain.
Last year's race at Atlanta was the first playoff race of 2024, with Joey Logano taking a key win to lock himself into the Round of 12, and nine of the top ten places being taken up by playoff drivers.
However, none of those playoff drivers claimed the qualifying crown that day. That went to veteran Michael McDowell, who ended up slumping in the race to finish 22nd.
With that said, let's take a look at the details you need to know ahead of Friday's qualifying action.
