Jamie Chadwick's swift ascent up the motorsport echelons has continued, with the British driver signing a development team with Williams. Chadwick is the first female winner of the British GT Championship and is the early-season championship leader in W Series.
Chadwick will take on simulator duties for Williams, as well as attending three races in Europe. Her first official appearance for the team will be at Silverstone for the British Grand Prix.
The 21-year-old became the first female race-winner in British Formula 3 last year and won the inaugural W Series race just last month at Hockenheim.
Her signing by a Formula 1 team will be a huge boost for the all-female series, whose stated aim is to help women drivers into the upper reaches of motorsport.
Chadwick said: "It is a great honour to be joining the Williams Racing Driver Academy.
