2018 Williams car 'a lot more aggressive' - Massa
Former Formula One star and Williams driver Felipe Massa has conceded that the car his former employers are entering in the 2018 season is 'a lot more aggressive' than the vehicle which he used in his last season in the spot, as the team look to improve on their fifth place in the rankings.
Massa announced his retirement for the end of the 2017 season after four years with Williams, and gained 43 points in the campaign last year. The team has not been a contender for the constructor championship for many years now and are currently in the shadow of the likes of Mercedes, Ferrari, and Red Bull, but Massa thinks they at least have a faster car for the upcoming season.
"I saw the new car in the wind tunnel and I saw so many changes that look quite interesting," Massa told Motorsport.com.
"Everybody is working. Maybe you get to the first race and everybody has so many different changes and everything in the car.
"The car looks a lot more aggressive. It looks a lot different so I believe maybe they can improve."
Williams could not even muster a challenge to fourth-placed Force India last year, and Massa believes they need to improve quickly as the likes of Renault and McLaren will be stronger.
"You will have Renault that will improve," he continued.
"You will also have McLaren so we need to see how much it can be this improvement.
"I need to see also what the drivers can do but I believe maybe the team can have a better car compared to what we had until now."
